NEIGHBORHOODS OF WARD 5: Magoun Square, at the intersection of Broadway and Medford Street, is the central neighborhood in Ward 5.  Magoun Square is home to many local businesses and restaurants that anchor this area as one of the most vibrant areas of the City.  Ball Square, at the northwestern point of Ward 5, is also a community and commercial center of the Ward.  Recently the “breakfast wars” have taken over Ball Square with the expansion and growing competition between several famous breakfast establishments in the area.
