NEIGHBORHOODS OF WARD 4: Winter Hill, with its historic architecture, Broadway businesses, and famous (or sometimes infamous) history is a central part of Ward 4. Ten Hills was the home of Massachusetts' first governor, John Winthrop. Today, it is a secluded residential area with a half-mile of Mystic River shoreline. The Mystic View and Mystic River developments are two of Somerville's largest affordable housing developments. Fellsway West and adjacent streets are near Foss Park, which is one of the largest parks in the city.
