NEIGHBORHOOD POLICING: Your Ward 2 Neighborhood Police Officer is Leo Martini. He can be reached at lmartini@police.somerville.ma.us.

NEIGHBORHOODS OF WARD 2: A number of loosely defined neighborhoods make up Ward 2. To the west of Union Square are the Lincoln and Perry Park neighborhoods. Narrow streets with small single families and two or three-family homes abut Lincoln and Perry Parks and stretch to Cambridge’s Inman Square. Tucked away between Dane Street and Beacon Street is another quiet neighborhood that’s home to Firefly Press and the recently rebuilt Palmacci Park. The residential artists’ community, Brickbottom, celebrates 20 years of occupying lofts in the otherwise industrial area. Finally, a narrow strip of land in Ward 2 in Somerville is just north of Beacon Street and stretches from the intersection of Beacon and Washington nearly to Porter Square.
